About Suzie Ankers

My approach

I aim to provide first class Occupational Therapy to the children I work with. Having children myself means that I understand both the needs of the child and the parents. My approach is to make the sessions fun, exciting and engaging whilst ensuring that they are pitched at the right level.

"Suzie Ankers really understood my child and helped me to see that he wasn't being naughty or difficult, he had very sensitive senses. The treatment helped us understand him and he loved the sessions. He's now much happier at school and they now know how to support him thanks to Suzie's involvement and training".

Who am I?

I am a fully qualified Occupational Therapist who graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Oxford Brookes University in 1992. Over the last  20+ years I have gained experience in providing support to children to help them to complete everyday activities from getting dressed to going to school. I specialise in teaching children how to adjust their level of arousal to get into the right zone to learn. I also provide advice on how children can improve their ability to process the information they receive from their senses, enabling them to be less overwhelmed and focus better.
